Serving the Triangle of North Carolina
My name is Chris Russell and I am the owner and lead inspector at Dragonfly Home Inspections and Building Consultation. After an extensive architectural and planning education and a career in many aspects of designing, building, planning and managing construction of many shapes, sizes, budgets and types, I decided to use this experience as a home inspector to help others as they were getting ready to buy their homes. It has been a rewarding choice and it is gratifying to help others in such an important way, as there are few decisions as important as a house purchase.
While some parts of my business have changed over the years, I have not wavered from the basic premise to work exclusively for my clients in providing them with the best, independent, unbiased home inspection services possible.
When searching for a home inspection, you should recognize that many competitors are parts of larger national chains and franchises. I have found that bigger is definitely not better when it comes to home inspections. I am a private, independent, small business serving the Chapel Hill, Durham, Cary, Apex, Mebane and greater Triangle community and have no plans to become a franchise with increased volume, decreased quality and decreased customer support.
Up To Date Home Inspection Training
Ongoing annual training, education and certifications are a key part of my business to keep on top of the latest construction trends and techniques to ensure I remain up to date and well prepared for your home inspection. I keep abreast of home inspection updates as well as annual radon test training and certifications.
An Inspection Service You Can Refer Your Family To
Much of my competition focuses on a one-time home inspection, whereas I recognized long ago that people do not tend to stay in their homes as long as they used to and therefore offering great services each time ensures future returning clients. In fact, I have had the opportunity to work with many clients on multiple occasions for their future home purchases and I am gratified to have extended these services by referrals to their family and friends. My best and favorite referrals are by word of mouth from those I have had the opportunity to work with.
Sure, it takes a bit longer to conduct thorough inspections and offer great customer service, but I believe it to be well worth it. Don’t just take my word for it, listen to what my clients have to say:
